Politics and School

Those two words at sometime are usually synonymous. Yet since the end of the Christmas season is here i see them as new sets in my life. Thank goodness Hillary did not win in Iowa and i foresee a failure in New Hampshire too. Huckabee is an amazing guy with values and christian principles but he worries me in his electability in a general election. So my ship will sail to the harbor of McCain. He has what i want and I'm hoping for a success in NH. If those two guys teamed up they would be an ideal power team. I would definitely jump in and campaign for him. The two black-listed candidates for me would have to be Hillary and Giuliani. Obama excites me and attracts a side of me but i have say on issues we totally disagree. So after schooling you on my thoughts on the primaries, its time to tell school you on my new school. The building reminds me of a hospital and it offers some "new" (somewhat unnecessary) amenities that were already available in the old building. I don't understand how the most expensive school being built in the US could have the most unnecessary and uninteresting stuff that were already available to us before. The teachers have asked to hold out on other judgements until the newness of the school has worn off. My statement so far has been the most blatant observation but there are many things that are going through my mind. So i will take my teacher's advice and later i will elaborate. I will try to find some pictures too. I hope your year is as interesting as mine if not as lively. Always.

Christmas in Narnia

This is the new Narnia: Prince Caspian movie

it looks intense. Well this week has been wierd. I ate christmas breakfast at denny's around 6:00 and then i had christmas dinner at a chineese place. Talk about awkward. Christmas was nice other than that (why do i usually complain about food on my blog). I got a sweater and a new scarf. A sweater much like mr. roger's. But this one is grey and black striped. Well i tryu more to write more but school is seriously busy with crew and all. This is probably a good time while on break to write a little bit more than usual.

Well my initial reaction may have been a little premature........ only a little. Today was a bit of a relief to say the most. I brought my own lunch and drink and that helped the outrage and our classes are so long that teachers make it enjoyable and easy. Also I think the reason I have problems with my peers is that this is a more liberal area, it is somewhat of a culture shock from always (when in the US) living in the south. I have to accept their culture, yet stay strong in my Conservative beliefs. I guess that's what i get for titling my blog as it is. Well this is going to be the water fire wind concept from NYC, you go from complete immersion in water, to drip dry on your way towards the fire. We'll see what the wind stands for. Well tonight is the first night of Wednesday night church and i hope it goes well. Boy do I miss my days at Ellison High.

Disapointment

Well i went to my first day of school, it was extremely weird to say the least. the teachers are sane but i wonder about my pupils. Alot are self absorbed, some are attention suckers and some are just plain weird. There also seems to be two kinds of people also, ones that are overtly serious and those who have no self restraint or depth and only laugh to be noticed in jeering at someone. There is a balance and i have to find friends who are balanced. This area has high class adults but what i see so far is stark rebellion. Well on to food........... oh boy do i miss Texas. They gave us a choice of a hot dog that was floating in creamy stuff or a hamburger. Well i chose the hamburger since i don't eat hot dogs (unless I'm on a camping trip) and was asked if i wanted veggies. So i took the veggies and i went further down the row well i got to the end and it was time to check out. I checked out with a meal costing almost $4 and there i was sitting with a dry, cold hamburger and some plastic looking tiny bowl of veggies. I don't know if that's appetizing or not to you but i was about to throw up. ukkkkkkkk. I can see why last year they had an attendance problem........no one in their right mind would want to stay in school if they were forced to eat that. Well this is way to long and ill still put those pics of DC treasures up later... you wont be let down. All in all how i feel about this school Washington-Lee is about how much i loved my lunch (which i decided was not fit to eat).

well in ten minutes i leave for my first half day of school. I have the most butterflys in my stomach in my whole life. Well this weekend we went to Downtown DC and road our bikes and in my next blog ill tell you what treasures i found and ill show a picture of some. Also i found how close i am to DC. I go down one block and i can see the Washington monument. I think of what a priveledge it is to be here. Well i hope and pray that today goes good. i didnt get much sleep last night. I layed in bed till about 3:30 and finally drifted off into a light sleep but i have all the energy i need right now. Well i gtg.

The Harry Potter series in the last ten years have better sales. well like all time in the end the bible will sell more later on. So in the meantime buy more bibles. Well finally I'm off my all media restriction. No TV, ipod, computer for three days. I hope someone sympathises. It was painful to have a computer next to me in my room and i couldnt play music. Maybe theats a problem with our generation. We are the media, it is wat keeps us "entertained". So ive been thinking about how much i give into being "entertained" is nothing its realoly about being a human, and living for Christ. We have been so mislead.

Well last night i started reading Dracula and boy did it give me the willies. I havent been that scared in a long time. Today i enrolled and that was fun. Actually that was almost as scary as Dracula. lol. Well that is all for now Hope yalls week goes good there in Texas.

Hi,

I just got back from Nazarene youth convention and I've come back with a whole new lease on life. The speakers were amazing and I've learned alot but Family Force 5 had to be the most amazing night of all. Their driving beats and hard rock funky mood made even the most devout Nazarene feet move. I'll never forget it. I hope all is good back in Texas i know for me these long days of nothing to do are slowly eating at me. also it was awesome to see people from SC and Alabama and VA district is so tight. Well this is getting long due to (as i said) my boredom. someone should put some videos of NYC on you tube. well if i cant find any ill post some later of me and my VA pals.

Hi,
Now im in D.C. and the trip has come to an end. Isnt it sad. Not. Being almost settled at a hotel is so kool. We had this lifegaurd at the pool who was so overprotective, we couldnt splash. it was soooooo funny. Wendall moved a mat that was on the the bottem of the pool and the teenage lifegaurd guy holds it up and goes (with a russian accent), "where do dis go?". It was classic, smack ur head a few times funny. So we move into the house on Friday. bye

Its new found popularity tried to beat King Kong yet failed at 31.2m while King Kong was disabled from making hollywood classic at 50.2m. Other than that Narnia will do phenomenally when it comes out on DVD. I know I'll be the first to buy it. This movie was written and intended to as C.S. Lewis wrote "a child who loves aslan will as he matures fall in love with Jesus". This is true but with the mature we see the revelence between these two risen kings and we as disciple will learn to love and not try to tame Aslan or Jesus. The most amazing scene that they sadly left out of the movie was when after Aslan arises he plays and wrestles with Lucy and Susan. During this area was where I really looked into my heart and thought " Is my life with Christ just business or is it all the time through play and joy? This changed me to not only run to God for "supply and Demand" but all the 24/7's of my life. If you've not seen the movie I ask of you to read the book first. So read all the Chronicles of Narnia books now before they come out with the rest of the movies.
